A's desert project
This is what we working on this weekend. It turned out pretty good if I must say so.
Kaylee came up with the sandpaper as the desert floor and Aaron came up with the cut toothpicks for the pricklys on the cactus. Pretty inventive children I must admit.

A had to get glasses
And boy was he ever happy! I think he was tired of being the odd ball. He is the only actual Texan, and all of us have glasses but he never did. Well now he can call himself one of us.
K's first project of the year
believe me, I know there are many more to come. I thought this one was cute though. She had to come up with 15 different foods that are like her. Such as.....
An Egg.....people say I am a good egg
Dr. Pepper....I am full of energy
Sweet Tarts....I am sweet
Apple Pie.....I am all American
I think you get the idea
First day of school for the kiddos
The kids have started school again. Aaron is in 3rd grade this year and Kaylee started (gulp) Middle School! Oh My Goodness! As long as we stay here my kids will never be in the same school again.
End of Summer party
End of summer party at the neighbors. What a fun night they planned. The kids did a scavenger hunt around the neighborhood, knocking on peoples doors and asking them if they had certain items (ie. a nail, paper towel, etc.) Which ever team came back with the most was the winner. I was the girls and the little kids (hence no pictures of the boy team on my camera) To our surprise the girl/little boy team won by 1 item! Yeah for us.
