Face of Betrayal by Lis Wiehl
It was ok....I won't run out a buy the next one one that comes out but I would borrow it from the library like I did this one.

01/2010 Book 1
I finished my first book of the year. Sarah Palins Going Rogue.
It was fantastic! I could hear her as I read the book. I really felt like I got a glimpse of her life.

Prosperity and Wealth for the New Year

It is an old Texas tradition to have Black Eyed Peas on New Years day. It is for luck and prosperity for the coming year. I have never eaten these before but thought after the year I had I need to make some changes for 2010 and I might as well start with traditions. My sister eats cabbage. I didn't know what it was for so I looked it up online and it says you eat cabbage because it is green and it is for money. I didn't have any cabbage so we all ate celery (hopefully it is a good proxy) because it is green also. (this is also the first time I have ever had cornbread and I must say I have been missing out on this delishiousness for many years!)
New Years Eve
We decided to have seafood again this year for New Years Eve. This is what our plates looked like. As you can see some of us have different tastes then others!

Aaron's plate

My plate

Kaylee's plate

Matts plate
After we ate we played a game of Credit card Monopoly. Then Matt went to bed (he had to work the next day) and the kids and I watched G-force (1 and 1/2 hours that I will never get back!)

Christmas 2009
Christmas Eve 2009

Yep, that is snow!

Here are our Christmas pictures for this year.

Here is the famous Grizwald house.

We attempted to make a Gingerbread house this year on Christmas Eve.....much more difficult then you would ever expect. Pretty sure we won't try it again.

These are the PJ's that the kids got to open on Christmas Eve after Mass.
