harry potter + haircuts = a good day

Today's Harry Potter day. YEAH! I woke up energized and excited. I have been waiting forever for this movie to come out. Aaron decided that he didn't want to go because it looked a little scary for him so it was Donette, Kay, and I that went. First showing of the day (I thought about going to the midnight show but then decided to wait for my friend and daughter) The movie was fabulous. Definitely darker then previous ones but I knew that was happening. that was what happened in the books why wouldn't it happen in the movies. I knew what to expect so I was anticipating tears...I was correct, I shed a couple of tears. Just thinking about what happened puts a frog in my throat. They did it really well and I cannot wait for the next book which will be in 2 separate movies. (does that make sense? They will make the last book into 2 separate movies because there is to much information)
5 out of 5 Stars!

Afterwards Kay and I decided to get our hair cut. She has been wanting to for a while now and since it was just a mom/daughter day I thought why not so off we went.

Here is Kays....isn't it cute. She got 5 inches cut off and now has side bangs. I was nervous when she told me what she wanted because I am not a visionary at all but it really turned out cute.

And here is mine.....its the same hair cut that I always get. I'm not much of a swayer when it comes to new things so I do the same old same old. Its me none the less......I wonder if there is a hair cut out there that will make my face not look quite as fat as it always looks.....I'll have to do some research on that.

My Super Stars

Yes these guys are my Super Stars. They started guitar lessons the beginning of June are both doing fabulous. They are going to be starting that garage band very soon....I can feel it. Ok maybe thats my dream.

I'm a little annoyed

We went to a Tea Party on the 4th of July. I took a bunch on pictures on K's camera and she some how downloaded them on to the computer. Every other picture she down loaded is in a file but the Tea Party pictures are nowhere to be found. I had lots of pictures of signs...there was 1 of a man in shirt with Mt. Rushmore on it (a little bit of home) They had a big kid area with bounce houses and slides. They had a rock climbing wall that both of my kids climbed and both of them got to the top....little over achievers that they are, Once K got her grove going she was like a spider monkey, It was a little bit more difficult for A because he really had to stretch his feet but he made it too, they are so good. I was talking about how I wouldn't have even made it past the first footing. (Sadly they didn't even ask me to try because they know its true)
If I happen to find the pictures i will post them so you can see them at the top.

this is a little spooky

K took this of A....little scary right.

Esme and Heidi

Sarahs friend needed to find a new home for her hampster so we gladly took her in. The kids have had such a blast with her. They put her in her ball and watch her go all over the house. Angel loves to watch Esme and lick her lips while doing it.....I sure hope Esme never gets out because if she does I have a feeling it will be the end of her.

Sarah also brought over a water turtle for our pond. Kaylee has seen her once and I have seen her once.....that was about 2 weeks ago and none of us have seen her again. We have no idea if she is still in the pond or if she decided to make her home somewhere else but because she likes to hide so much Aaron decided to name her Hide'e. Cute little play on words right. If I ever see her agian and happen to be able to get a picture I will post it.

October Book review

My Sisters Keeper by Jodi Picoult

All I can say is Oh My Goodness. What a tear jerker. I was totally not expecting the ending that it had.

4 1/2 out of 5 stars

playing down at the harbor

It was so hot out the day we went down to the harbor that the kids decided to run through the water fountains down there. Looks like they really got cooled off doing it.

Concert on the Lake at sunset

Petty Theft was playing down on the harbor so the kids and I packed up our chairs and headed down there to meet up with Sarah and Jeff. Petty Theft is one of my favorite bands. They cover all of Tom Petty's music.....love them!

in case you are interested

this is my favorite restaurant. They have the best food I have ever tasted.

this is what ate all of my tomato's

you can't tell by the picture but it was about 2 inches long

what has happened to me?

I need a new bathing suit. Not that I am that big on swimming but while you are out at the pool I would like to have something that I can jump in the water with if I get to hot watching the kids swim.
The suit that I have right now seems to be a little snug. It still fits but I feel like I have to fold some areas of myself into it. I wore it the other night when the kids and I went swimming but I would have never wore it if there was other people around.
So tomorrow we are going to go to the local water park. The kids have been wanting to go and since I don't work tomorrow I thought it would be fun to go. I have been looking for a suit for a couple weeks now and nothing has appealed to me so on my way home from work I stopped by Kohls to look at bathing suits. I found a couple of cute ones so I went into the dressing room to try them on. OMW! I have never been so horrified in my life. I now know why some women leave stores in tears because that could have easily been me. I am completely mortified by how these bathing suits look on me and what makes everything 20 times worse is that I had to get one for tomorrow so that I won't have to wear the one that I have to fold myself into.
I am not happy that 30 has done this to me!

I am really behind

I have so much to update you on
Heidi, Esme, Garden Progress, aunt Skris's new house, pictures....hopefully I will get it all done over the long weekend.

September book is finished

Dead In Dallas by Charlaine Harris

Another Sookie Stackhouse novel. This one was pretty good. It picked up about 3/4's of the way through it. I wasn't sure if I was going to pick up book 3 but now I am. (after I finish My Sisters Keeper)
