Girl Scouts Can!

Last night we went around the neighborhood and sang Christmas carols for everyone and they donated cans to us so we can donate to the local shelters. Tonight we were up at the church collecting all the cans that the other GS troops collected and we gave them cookies, hot coco, and candy from Santa......tell me does Santa look familiar to you?

Jesse Tree

This year I decided to try and bring back Christ in Christmas for my family. I know my kids know that it is Jesus's birthday but I think sometimes the "presents" seem to be a little to exciting and they forget the true importance of Christmas day.

After talking to a friend and doing a little bit of research I settled on us doing a Jesse Tree. Each day we put a new ornament on the tree, read a bible verse and talk about it. I think it is going to be a great lesson for the kids, Matt and myself.

Brother 1992

This year Christmas is in honor of Brother 1992. Thank you Aunt Jean for getting him for me 17 years ago. As you can see he has seen much better days but he is still just as special to me as he was the day I opened the box he came in. I have been collecting my nutcrackers for a few years now so my Brother 1992 could have a tree all to himself. (and the meaning to go along with it)

Another Midnight Movie

We didn't see as many freaky people as we did last year but I am pretty sure they were still there. We all had so much fun. I love sharing this with my friends and now my daughter, it may be the land of make-believe but it is nice to escape every now and again.

I will order popcorn from Edward all day long!

Trick or Treat

Jack O' Lanterns

Even though it took us forever to find pumpkins to carve (Susan was actually the one who found them.....thanks Susan) Kristal helped Kaylee carve hers this year and I helped Aaron a little bit. They turned out pretty cute.
